Buzdar says not going anytime soon

–Punjab CM says PM Imran, provincial cabinet have faith in him

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Wednesday said that he cannot be replaced as long as Prime Minister Imran Khan and the provincial cabinet believe in him.

In an interview with a private news channel, the chief minister said that the premier wanted to award the top slot of the provincial cabinet to an “honest person from a backward area of Punjab” in order to provide relief to the poor and neglected people.

Buzdar said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government’s performance speaks about the character of the rulers. “The premier believes in me and my performance in the first year is in front of everyone to see,” he said, adding that he ever reduced his security protocol by 65 per cent.

“I am not claiming that everything is right in province but officials are now being appointed on merit and there is no political interference in the police department,” he said.

“The government is introducing reforms in the police department so that the police officials can bring a positive change in their attitude,” he added.
