32 new trains launched to facilitate people, says Rasheed

LAHORE: Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmad on Thursday said that to facilitate the commuters, Pakistan Railways has included 32 new trains which will run on different routes.

While addressing a press conference in Lahore, he further said that the M1 project will be functional soon.

He also claimed that with concerted efforts, the deficit of railways has been slashed by Rs 4 billion.

“My next plan is to improve the ticketing system. Currently, Pakistan Railways’ freight trains are generating more revenue than assigned to be achieved and very soon around 7 million more passengers will commute via trains,” he concluded.
