KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday ordered the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) to produce full details within two weeks on a plea filed by a candidate of medical officer post.
An SHC bench heard the plea filed by Dr Yasir Imam Khoso and others against the SPSC. The petitioner stated: “Examination for the medical officer was held on 19 July 2018 and we were told that you have passed the examination, but later we were termed fail.
The counsel of petitioner told the bench that the results of candidates were being kept secret and students were given only Key Note to accurate their results.
The bench questioned from SPCS’s counsel that they kept candidates’ results secret to which the counsel replied that it was their policy.
The bench remarked: “Results of the candidate could not be kept secret.” It directed the SPCS to tell it within two weeks that how many students appeared in the test. The bench also asked that it must be told how many marks were gained by each candidate and what is SPCS’s policy?
Counsel of the petitioner submitted to the bench that 1500 candidates took part in the examination out of which 300 passed the test.
