ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has issued orders for introducing a system to register vehicles online in order to reduce hassle for the general public, media reported.
According to the details, PM Imran directed Department of Excise for vehicles’ registration to work on the launch of an online registration system in the excise office of Islamabad and update him about this after 90 days.
The order issued by the PM office also directed the concerned department to come up with a plan through which token tax can also be collected online.
All branches of National bank have also been asked to provide the facility for the submission of the registration fee.
The notification also emphasises that an awareness campaign should be launched which would educate people about this new system.
A special counter will be set up along the regular ones to cater to special persons.
