LAHORE: Presiding over a high-level meeting in Lahore on Monday, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar critically reviewed precautionary measures and preparedness for the likely flood situation after India released about 200,000 cusecs water into the River Sutlej.
According to the details, in the meeting, the participants discussed in detail about the relief operations in case of flood on banks of the river.
Participants strongly condemned India’s action of releasing water in Sutlej river without any advance intimation.
To prepare for any situation in case of flood, around eighty-one camps have been erected in those areas which would likely be affected by the flood. CM has also asked the concerned authorities to be ready for any adverse situation and evacuation should be ensured without any delay.
