PESHAWAR: Five police officers and four citizens sustained injuries in an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion near Madrassa in Hasan Garhi area of Nowshera on Wednesday.
According to details, the IED exploded when the bomb disposal team was making an attempt to defuse the device fixed in a cylinder.
The injured were shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar where doctors informed that two policemen are in critical condition while others are out of danger.
The police cordoned off the area after the incident and started a search operation.
