SHEIKHUPURA: At least one person was killed and another in firing over petty dispute during dealing of sacrificial animals, police said on Friday.
According to details, the incident took place in cattle market established for sacrificial animals near Housing Colony in Sheikhupura where two groups exchanged hot words over minor issues.
The verbal clash turned violent after which armed men opened fire killing one person identified as Tanveer 32, hailing from Mohallah Rehmanpura while Danish 26, was critically injured.
The body and injured were shifted to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Sheikhupura for medico-legal formalities and the police after registering a case into the incident started an investigation.
