He expressed this while talking to the Ambassador-designate of Pakistan to Morocco Hamid Asghar Khan, who called on him here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.

Arif Alvi stressed the need to improve the overall size of bilateral trade and urged Ambassador-designate to make efforts to further promote Pakistan’s economic and commercial interests in Morocco by employing all existing institutional mechanisms.

He also said that high-level meetings between the two countries should take place soon so that all the available options can be discussed at length.

While talking to Pakistan’s High Commissioner-designate to Singapore Rukhsana Afzaal Alvi said that Pakistan wishes to develop concrete bilateral relations with Singapore at all levels of engagement, particularly in the economic field.

He further stressed that the current volume of bilateral trade between the two countries isn’t even near to the true potential to which it can be taken.

He urged the Commissioner-designate to try to enhance the volume of bilateral trade by interacting with the local business community there and also by initiating meaningful negotiations on Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the two countries.
