Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday was given a “royal welcome” during his brief stopover at Doha airport where he was received by Qatari counterpart Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani.
The premier is on his way back to Pakistan after wrapping up a three-day visit to the United States. He had held meetings with President Donald Trump, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo among others.
After a brief meeting at the airport, the two sides also held detailed discussions at the Qatari premier’s residence.
During the meeting, matters pertaining to bilateral ties were discussed.
PM’s Adviser on Commerce and Trade Razzaq Dawood, Special Assistant on Overseas Pakistanis Zulfiqar Bukhari and Secretary Foreign Affairs Sohail Mehmood are also accompanying the premier.
