LAHORE: Fatima Sohail, wife of Mohsin Abbas Haider, in a social media story has shared details of her ordeal which she suffered at the hands of her husband.
According to details provided by her, after suspecting that Mohsin is cheating on her she finally caught him on 26 November 2018 and confronted him in a calm manner about this affair. On being caught red-handed, Mohsin got enraged and started torturing her while she was pregnant at that time.
According to Fatima, “he pulled me from hair, dragged me on the floor, kicked me several times, punched me on face & threw me on the wall”.
Later, she didn’t disclose anything to her parents to save them from sharing this terrifying experience, instead, she called a friend and went to a hospital to receive first-aid and to check that baby in her womb remained safe when Mohsin was torturing her. Although, initially, she was refused any kind of treatment as this was a police case and without involving them, doctors couldn’t extend any kind of help.
Fatima further stated that on 20th May 2019, she gave birth to a baby boy, while her husband, instead of being there to comfort her in the process, was asleep in Karachi with his girlfriend.
She also said that recent social media posts by Mohsin about his depression are nothing more than publicity-seeking stunts. He is doing this to get sympathies.
He visited me after two days of delivery and that too to click some pictures with the baby boy so he could post them on social media to give a false impression that everything is fine and smooth, she added.
As per details shared by Fatima, she went to Mohsin’s house on 17 July 2019 and requested him to take responsibility for his son. To which, he lost his cool and flatly refused to pay a single penny, later he resorted to violence once again.
Fatima has said that she is going to initiate legal proceedings against Mohsin and will ‘see him in the court’.
