SHEIKHUPURA: At least seven members of a family were killed after the roof of their house collapsed in Ferozewala’s Kot Abdul Malik locality in the wee hours of Wednesday.
According to police, the roof of a two-storey house collapsed due to heavy rain. As a result, five children identified as Baitullah, 5, Abdullah, 7, Alisha, 7, Abubakar, 8 Muqadas, 10 and their parents died on the spot.
Local police said the family was sleeping at night when the incident occurred. The rescue teams reached the site in the morning and retrieved all the bodies from the rubble.
