KARACHI: An accountability court on Friday handed over Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani the copies of National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) assets beyond means reference against him.
The court then announced that charges will be framed against the PPP stalwart in the next hearing on July 26.
Agha Siraj and other accused were produced at an accountability court in Karachi for the hearing.
Talking to media before hearing of the reference, Durrani urged for the inquiry of recent train accident and action against those responsible for the negligence.
He also asked the Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed to explain the reason behind frequent train accidents during his tenure.
When asked about the by-election in Ghotki, the provincial assembly speaker said that the PPP will win the election.
