KARACHI: Iconic actress Zaheen Tahira passed away on Tuesday morning. She was 79.
Tahira was rushed to Agha Khan Hospital in the provincial metropolis after another cardiac arrest where she breathed her last at 4:00 am.
Her grandson took to Facebook later on to reveal the news.
Tahira had suffered a major cardiac arrest on June 23 and had been hospitalized. She had been shifted from the ICU to the CCU a few days ago.
The Khuda Ki Basti-fame actress started her career in the 1960s and ruled the mini screen until 1980s and appeared in over 700 drama serials. She also produced and directed a few television series.
The versatile Zaheen Tahira was honored with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2013 for her distinctive work in show business.
