ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Secretary Information Marriyum Aurangzeb on Monday said that PTI government is acting like a fascist regime by oppressing media freedom.
She harshly criticised PM Imran’s financial attack on media houses and corporate advertising agencies by forcibly making them act on his whims.
She further said that even in days of the worst form of dictatorship rules, such measures weren’t taken and the reason behind all these steps is to hide this government’s incompetence. These actions come with consequences, soon the public would be on the streets to protest them, she continued.
While talking about PML-N’s tenure she said that no channel was asked to blackout Imran Khan’s Dharna.
She asked the media houses to stand united against tyranny of this government and raise their voice for freedom of the press.
