94pc work on Orange Line Metro Train completed: minister

LAHORE: Punjab Finance Minister Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakht chaired the second meeting of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Task Force in Lahore on Friday.

The task force was constituted by Chief Minister Usman Buzdar for ascertaining initial measures regarding the CPEC.

The meeting was informed that the 94 percent construction work has been completed on the Lahore Orange Line Metro train project while remaining work will be completed this year.

During the meeting, the Punjab Small Industries Corporation managing director told the meeting that the work is underway on the establishment of the state-of-the-art Allama Iqbal Industrial City in Faisalabad.

He also apprised that process of the formation of the Punjab Skill Development Authority is in progress for imparting vocational training to over two million youth of the province.
