PTI’s Aleem Khan richest Punjab Assembly MPA with assets worth over Rs1.65bn: ECP

Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Aleem Khan is the richest Punjab Assembly lawmaker with assets worth over Rs1.65 billion, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) revealed on Thursday as it released financial details of members of the Punjab Assembly for the year 2018-19.

However, the election commission also stated that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) leader has borrowed money amounting to over Rs710 million.

PTI’s Amjad Mehmood is also a billionaire owning assets worth 1.06 billion. He owns 11 cars and one motorcycle and has shares in Kot Addu Power Plant, Attock Oil Refinery and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited.

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar owns assets worth Rs39.8 million. He owns properties worth Rs25 million while he also owns three tractors worth Rs2.4 million, two cars worth Rs3.8 million and gold worth Rs1.3 million.

Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz owns assets worth over Rs180 million.

Opposition Leader Hamza Shehbaz owns assets worth Rs410 million while Punjab Provincial Minister Mian Mehmood ur Rashid has assets worth over Rs190 million.

Provincial Law Minister Raja Basharat has assets worth over Rs20 million. He has also leased a car from a private bank.

Punjab Information Minister Syed Samsam Bukhari owns assets worth over Rs160 million while Provincial Minister Raja Rashid is the owner of assets worth over Rs 100million.

Punjab Minister for Health Yasmin Rashid owns assets worth over Rs470 million while former provincial information minister Fayyaz Chohan has assets worth Rs1.5 million.

PML-N’ Khawaja Salman Rafique owns assets worth Rs156 million while Khawaja Imran Nazir has assets over Rs210 million.

Sardar Awais Leghari has assets worth over Rs280 million while Bilal Yasin has assets worth a little over Rs14 million.

Further, Chaudhry Nisar’s assets are unknown as he has not taken his oath yet.
