Afghan President Ghani to visit Pakistan on June 27

President of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani will be visiting Pakistan on an official two-day trip in the coming week.

The Afghan president will arrive in Pakistan on June 27.

During his official visit, Ghani will hold meetings with high-level government functionaries.

The Afghan president would travel to Lahore on June 28 where besides meeting top officials of the province he will also pray at the Badshahi Mosque.

It is believed that this visit holds too much importance as it is scheduled right after the first Afghan peace conference titled ‘Lahore Process’ held on June 22 in Bhurban Murree.

Around 50 delegates, including heads of all Afghan political parties and the political adviser to Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, attended this moot. Former Afghan warlord Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, senators and members of Afghan parliament were also in attendance.
