ISLAMABAD/NEW DELHI – Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has replied to emails by his Pakistani counterpart, a source in the Foreign Office told The Dependent on Thursday, adding that the Indian premier has “responded positively and concisely”.

With The Dependent’s team of hackers following up on the development, it has been further learnt that PM Modi’s response to PM Khan’s email was a carefully worded, meticulously thought out and comprehensively paragraphed ‘k.’.

The Dependent can further confirm that the reply was to an email that was found in Modi’s spam folder. It has also been learnt that it was Khan’s 1,752nd email sent to his Indian counterpart since July 2018.

This is in addition to messages on WhatsApp and Facebook (Other Folder), along with the communication sent out in interviews and television addresses.

Sources close to Khan revealed that despite being ghosted for the past year, he remained persistent to win Modi over.

“Imran has decades of experience in wooing and getting the other person to say Yes. He knows that if you’re being ghosted, you keep the chase on, till you get what you want,” a close aide of the Pakistani premiere told The Dependent.

Meanwhile, international affairs analysts are lauding Pakistan for successfully adopting the principles of spam folder diplomacy.

“It was introduced when I was the foreign minister under President Pervez Musharraf,” said former Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri.

“He showed me his sent email folder and all the emails he addressed to [former Indian PM] Atal Bihari Vajpayee]. That’s how the Agra Summit happened,” he added.
