LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz will visit Sindh in July in connection with the party’s public contact campaign.
According to sources, Maryam Nawaz will lead the public contact committee in the light of PML-N’s slogan ‘Honour the Vote’ (Vote Ko Izaat Do) during her visit.
The PML-N vice president will also address the public gatherings in Karachi, Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Thatta, Badin, Tharparkar, Larkana, Sukkur and Khairpur, sources said.
Maryam is making headlines recently for her bold stance against the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the powers-that-be.
She is in no mood to reach any compromise with the government, evident by her Saturday press conference wherein she rejected the ‘charter of economy’ proposed by party president Shehbaz Sharif. She had said the PML-N won’t sit with the party that came to power by stealing people’s mandate.
In addition, she has held two meetings with Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari — whose party rules in Sindh — to formulate a joint strategy against the government.
