A 12-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a man in Sadiqabad while another was set on fire by a Faisalabad shopkeeper on Sunday.
According to police, a shopkeeper named Asif doused a 12-year-old with petrol and set her on fire.
The incident occurred in Faisalabad’s Makkuana area, police said, adding that the child’s face and body were burnt. The minor was shifted to Allied Hospital.
Police have arrested the man and started a probe.
In another incident, a girl 12-year-old was sexually assaulted by a man in Sadiqabad on her way to a wedding. After the assault, the man dumped her in a field. According to media reports, the man identified as Ismail.
Once the first information report (FIR) was registered at the police station, the girl was shifted to the Shaikh Zayed Medical College and Hospital for a medical test.
Police said they have started a search for the alleged rapist.
