PML-Q assures PM Imran of continued support

ISLAMABAD: The top leadership of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q) on Friday called on Prime Minister Imran Khan and assured him of their support for the approval of annual budgets from the national and provincial assemblies.

The delegation led by PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain comprised Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and MNA Moonis Elahi.

Defence Minister Pervez Khattak, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan and Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Affairs Naeemul Haque also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the PML-Q leaders agreed to continue their unconditional support to the government of Prime Minister Imran.

The premier thanked the PML-Q leaders for their unconditional support to the government. He said that the first budget presented by the PTI government was aimed at providing relief to the common man, adding that he would continue to take steps for the betterment of the masses.

“Those involved in looting and plundering will have to face the law and will be held accountable,” PM Imran reiterated.
