SHC rejects interim bail plea of KPT former secretary

KARACHI: An important progress was made into the corruption case of Karachi Port Trust (KPT) cooperative society on Wednesday as the Sindh High Court (SHC) rejected the interim bail plea of former secretary of KPT Ghulab Khan, who is co-accused with former federal minister Kamran Michael.

A two-member bench of SHC heard the bail plea of former secretary of KPT and announced its decision by rejecting the interim bail.

The NAB team arrested the former secretary as his bail was rejected.

According to the NAB, 16 plots were illegally allotted on low rates in KPT cooperative society. Michael got bribe of Rs11 crore on the allotment of three commercial plots.
