ISLAMABAD: Former president Asif Ali Zardari has been produced before the accountability court in mega money laundering case on Friday.
Police ensured strict security arrangements outside the court and in the adjoining area. However, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) workers reached there to protest against the arrest.
Earlier, doctors, after a thorough checkup, said that Zardari’s heartbeat and blood pressure were normal but his diabetes level was low.
On June 10, Asif Ali Zardari had surrendered himself to a team of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) after Islamabad High Court (IHC) rejected his and his sister Faryal Talpur’s pre-arrest bail plea in the money laundering case.
