PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has banned all illegal construction at tourist sites across the province.
This decision was taken during a meeting held in Peshawar on Thursday with Local Government Minister Shahram Khan Tarakai in the chair.
The minister directed the authorities concerned to ensure cleanliness at tourist sites and not to allow commercial activities without prior permission.
He also stressed the need for publication and distribution of maps relating to tourist spots to guide and facilitate the tourists.
Tarakai said that the decision was aimed at ending encroachments, provide maximum relief to tourists in traveling/stay and to promoted tourism in the province.
