The number of HIV-positive-registered patients in Faisalabad Allied Hospital has risen to 2,800, sources at the medical facility said on Thursday.
It is pertinent to mention here that the hospital, under the Punjab AIDS Control Programme, is catering to HIV positive patients and providing services such as free treatment and guidance on protection from AIDS.
Most of these HIV-positive-registered patients are drug addicts who were infected by contaminated syringes. These patients include men, women, and transgenders.
The patients hail from multiple cities, including Faisalabad, Chiniot, Sahiwal, Jhang, and Nankana Sahib.
