Ruckus mars Sindh Assembly session

KARACHI: The ongoing session of the Sindh Assembly was interrupted by a ruckus started due to the harsh comments exchanged between speaker and opposition.

The opposition members raised anti-government slogans while encircling the dais of the speaker.

One of the demands put forward by the opposition was to provide water for Karachi.

Amidst the commotion in assembly, a resolution was passed against the arrest of ex-President Asif Ali Zardari.

As per the reports, protestors also carried placards. The resolution condemning the arrest of PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari was presented by Jam Madad Ali of PPP.

The speaker expressed his displeasure over the behavior of opposition and termed it against the decorum of the assembly.  He told the members present in the session that the governor has approved the Sindh jail reforms bill.

The session was adjourned till Thursday 2 PM.
