Three dead, 35 rescued as boat capsizes in Kundal Dam


SWABI: The bodies of three sisters were fished out on Friday morning after a tourist boat capsized in Swabi’s Kundal Dam a day earlier.

According to police, 35 out of the 38 onboard passengers were rescued on Thursday, while the bodies were found the following day after an extensive search operation.

In May last, at least six people drowned after a ferry overturned in Indus River near Sindh’s Matiari district.

The boat carrying 12 passengers was en route to Jamshoro from Matiari when it overturned.
