ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Bangladesh on Monday agreed to issue halted diplomatic visas of each other countries.
Sources said that the wife and son of designated Bangladeshi press attaché Mahmood Iqbal in Islamabad have been issued visas while Pakistani high commission in Dhaka has issued visas to Mahmood Iqbal’s family.
On the other hand, visas of Bangladeshi press attaché Mahmood Iqbal and his daughter will be extended as well after expiry.
Sources said that Mahmood Iqbal has submitted his passport in the Pakistan foreign office.
It is pertinent to mention here that Bangladesh had withheld visas of 11 Pakistanis diplomats.
Pakistan followed Bangladesh lines in October 2018 barring granting visas to Bangladeshi officials.
