-ISPR blames the leadership of PTM for augmented attacks on security forces 

A landmine blast and firing resulted in the martyrdom of a 26-year-old soldier Amal Shah on Saturday when a Pakistan Army vehicle was patrolling North Waziristan’s Boya area.

According to the statement of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), terrorists opened fire on the Army vehicle and later on missing the target, they attacked it with an improvised explosive device (IED).

“Terrorist activities in North Waziristan have increased lately. Over the last month, five soldiers have been martyred and 31 injured due to terrorist activities,” read an ISPR statement.

Khar Qamar check post attack

ISPR linked this attack with the Khar Qamar check post attack.

As per the statement of ISPR, a group attacked a check post in the area which killed three civilians and five soldiers. Around fifteen people were injured in the attack.

The statement further said that the group was being led by MNAs Mohsin Dawar and Ali Wazir, who are also leaders of Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM).
