KARACHI: Sindh Health Care Commission has sealed 900 healthcare establishments on violating the guidelines of SHC Commission while 4794 were issued registration certificates by the SHC to date.
This was revealed in a meeting of Sindh Healthcare Commission and its collaborative partners who met to review findings of the pilot study for the census and geo-mapping of Health Care Establishments in Sindh.
It was further informed that the census initiated by SHCC will be one of its kind with the involvement of both public and private HCEs’. After the final review, the census is likely to be initiated in the end of June 2019.
Chief Executive Officer SHCC Dr Minhaj Qidwai visited Sukkur to establish a regional office. Mayor of Sukkur Arslan Sheikh was kind to identify few places which were visited with the staff. Later CEO also met with the Commissioner Sukkur Rafiq A Buriro and Deputy Commissioner Ghulam Murtaza Shaikh in this regard. CEO also visited the DIG office and met with the police officials to streamline the support required from police for SHCC team in Sukkur.
Directorate of Anti-Quackery-Sindh Healthcare Commission (SHCC) in its crackdown against quackery in Sindh sealed over 90 clinics in this week, thus crossing the figure of 900 sealing of Healthcare Establishments (HCEs’) in Sindh.
On the request, of Sindh Blood Transfusion Authority (SBTA) two labs with blood banks were also sealed in Shaheed Benazirabad for quackery practices and warning was issued for another 6.
Directorate of Clinical Governance finalized its training plan for the Healthcare Establishments in Sindh to be initiated in the end of June 2019.
