LAHORE: The Punjab Finance Department has recommended a 10 per cent increment in the salaries and pensions of provincial government employees.
According to sources, the finance department has sought approval from Chief Minister Usman Buzdar over the proposal.
The finance department sources have revealed that Rs530 billion will be spent on salaries and pensions of government employees for the next fiscal year. Out of the total sum, Rs320 billion will be paid as salaries and Rs210 billion as pensions.
It has been told that only a 10 percent increase in incentives is possible due to the financial situation of the province. The final approval will be given by the cabinet.
