Salman Shah meets CM Buzdar, discusses provincial economy


LAHORE: Provincial Advisor for Economic Affairs and Planning Dr. Salman Shah called on Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar at Chief Minister’s Office on Tuesday.

Matters regarding initiatives taken for strengthening of provincial economy and improvement in the performance of the departments came under discussion during the meeting. It was decided in the meeting to take prompt action for stabilizing the economy of the province besides improving the performance of the departments.

Talking on this occasion, the chief minister said that Punjab is rich in natural resources and taking benefit from the resources is a prime need of the time. Usman Buzdar said that we are the custodian of these resources and the present government has promoted transparency at every level. He said that transparent utilization of government resources would be ensured at every level. Usman Buzdar assured to provide his full cooperation to Dr. Salman Shah for the strengthening of the provincial economy.

Dr. Salman Shah said that Punjab is the engine of growth for Pakistan. The economy will flourish with the development and progress of Punjab. He said that he will utilize all his abilities and experiences for the growth of the economy of the province. Later, Usman Buzdar congratulated Dr. Salman Shah for holding responsibilities as Advisor of Economic Affairs and Planning.
