LAHORE: Punjab Information Minister Sumsam Bukhari on Tuesday said that opposition gathering was an attempt to safeguard their corruption instead of democracy.
Talking to reporters during an opening ceremony of a calligraphic workshop, he said that the government’s performance should be reviewed before the next elections.
Criticising opposition parties he said that the motive behind their gathering seems to be very clear as they gathered to protect their corruption instead of democracy.
He said that going to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) was not a deliberate decision we were forced to go to the monetary watchdog as stabilizing dollar prices is necessary for enhancing the country’s trade.
Sumsam Bukhari also urged the fellow countrymen to focus on buying local products rather than purchasing foreign goods.
