RATODERO: Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS)cases continued rising to 574 in Ratodero as health authorities seem to be failed to control the situation.

The blood screening of general population continued on the 20th day at Taluka Hospital Ratodero where 660 people were tested out of which 16 new AIDS positive cases were detected. Among them, 14 were children. So far 574 cases have been found here and 84% of them are children.

The affected persons told the media that they are running from pillar to post, but no treatment drugs are provided to them. They said that they leave early morning to Larkana and return mid-day in this hot weather without medicines.

They further alleged that all those who came here and gave them false promises should now come out and provide medical treatment as they cannot afford to buy even simple medicine from the market keeping in view the level of poverty and massive price hike.
