KARACHI: The Karachi Water and Sewerage Board staffers raided and demolished an illegal hydrant in the metropolis and arrested six culprits here on Thursday.
According to details, the KWSB on a tip-off conducted a raid in Azam Basti Mehmoodabad area of Karachi during which an illegal water hydrant was unearthed.
The KSWB staffers demolished the hydrant, arrested six involved in stealing water from government’s water supply line through seven illegal connections and stocking it in underground water tanks.
The stocked water was later sold through water tankers. The detainees were being interrogated after registering a case against them.
