CHAKWAL: The police foiled a bid to smuggle over 200 non-custom paid mobile phones worth over one million rupees, impounded the vehicle and arrested the smuggler here on Wednesday.
According to details, the police stopped a suspected car at Chakwal motorway and during a search of the vehicle recovered 220 non-custom paid mobile phones of different brands and an accused on board was arrested.
The police impounded the vehicle along with recovered cell phones and after registering a case against the detainee have started an investigation.
