KARACHI: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Dr Syed Kaleem Imam on Tuesday took notice of media reports about the alleged harassment of a policewoman in Mirpurkhas.
The police chief sought a detailed inquiry report from SSP Mirpurkhas. The IGP directed the DIG to conduct a comprehensive inquiry, submit a detailed report and take all necessary legal actions to resolve the matter.
Female officer Mina alleged that the DIG in-charge deployed ladies police in night shift and took advantage.
She appealed to police authorities to take action against such officers and provide justices to them. She also alleged that DIG in-charge Danish harassed several ladies police and compelled them for friendship.
