KARACHI: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Dr Syed Kaleem Imam has taken notice of media reports about the alleged rape of a girl in Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of the city.
Taking notice of the reports about the alleged rape of a 15-year-old girl the IGP sought a detailed report from DIG East in this regard.
He instructed to ensure security to the affected family, look into the whole matter and investigate the case on merit basis.
A 15-year old girl was allegedly raped in Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block-4 by an accused. However, police have registered a case into the matter.
the mother of the girl in a video statement alleged that FIR was not registered according to their wish, neither medical of the girl was carried out. She also alleged that SHO is supporting the accused.
