KHAIRPUR: A man, who reported buried his wife alive over honour killing issue, was arrested in Sukkur on Thursday.
The man, identified as Karim Bux Shambani, told the police he buried his wife Bebul Shambani, aged 18 in village Januji of taluka Salehpat Tehsil. The police have recovered the body and sent it to a hospital for a postmortem.
Senior superintended of police (SSP) Sukkur Irfan Samo said the man confessed to killing his wife and a neighbour when the police picked him up two days ago in an investigation into the murder of his neighbour Sharafuddin.
Four other people were also injured when he killed Sharafuddin Shambani. Police have registered the murder case against five alleged accused including Karim Bux Shambani, his father and three others. Further investigation was underway.
