The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has started a probe against the owners and the management of Gujranwala’s Magnolia Park Housing Scheme after it received complaints that the management was minting money under the garb of selling plots.
The Bureau in a public notice asked people to submit the relevant record to NAB DG office in Lahore within 15 days of the publishing of the notice.
The housing society reportedly belongs to Ahsan Jameel Iqbal Gujjar whose wife “enjoys close proximity with the country’s First Lady Bushra Bibi”. Gujjar made headlines after Pakpattan DPO was abruptly transferred by Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on his insistence.
Gujjar eventually tendered an apology in the Supreme Court after it took notice of the transfer of the DPO.
