Maj Gen Umar Bukhari assumes charge as Sindh Rangers DG

KARACHI: Major General Umar Bukhari on Saturday took charge as the director general of Sindh Rangers.

As per details, the new DG Rangers took the command from Maj Gen Muhammad Saeed in a simple ceremony at the Rangers Headquarters.

He also laid a floral wreath on ‘Yadgar-e-Shuhda’ and recited ‘Fateha’ after assuming the charge.

Maj Gen Bukhari was commissioned in Pakistan Army in 1991.

He is also the recipient of the ‘Sword of Honour’ which is a dream of every military cadet.

It is pertinent to mention here that the outgoing DG Rangers was transferred in Pakistan’s Intelligence Agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) previously by the Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa as DG Analysis Wing and Major General Umar Bukhari was nominated as DG Rangers Sindh in his place.
