Nishwa’s father warns of protest if hospital’s owners not arrested

KARACHI: The father of Nishwa, who lost her life after being administered a wrong injection at Darul Sehat hospital, on Friday announced to stage a protest if the government fails to arrest the owners of the hospital till Saturday.

Addressing a press conference, he thanked media for highlighting the issue of injustice happened with his family, that ended up in the death of his daughter.

Detailing the demands, Qaiser said he has put three demands in front of Sindh CM Syed Murad Ali Shah, including sealing of the hospital, the arrest of the owners and formation of a judicial inquiry to probe the matter.

“Only first demand of sealing the hospital was met, others remain unaddressed,” he said, demanding the government to arrest the owners of the hospital.

The minor girl’s father requested to keep politics away from this issue and clarified that there is no pressure on him of any political party.

“Representatives of all political parties expressed solidarity with us and shared our grief on the demise of Nishwa,” he added.

He appealed to all those families who became victims of the hospital to submit applications so that a comprehensive action could be taken.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Khawaja Izharul Hassan said the responsible persons behind Nishwa’s death should be punished, but the hospital should not be sealed.
