Addressing the ceremony, the CM announced that a 20-bed hospital, college for the girls and the 20-KM long road will be constructed in Kamand village. No one could become “Khadim-e-Alla” through gimmickry because one could only become a “Khadim-e-Alla” by genuinely working for the welfare of the public instead of mere announcements.

Only gimmickries were made in the past in the name of public service and forgery was promoted. On the other side, we wholly work to serve the masses as we do not know such gimmickry or fake development.

He said the officers serving the people will be appreciated while the ones failing to perform will not be part of our team. “Disorder spanning over many years will be rectified by us,” he said.

Buzdar said that promises made with the farmers will be fulfilled. “The Punjab government will start the agriculture credit card scheme and the issue of canal water will be solved too. The farmers will be given more funds for the provision of water and nine percent more funds will be allocated for the irrigation sector in the budget,” he said while adding that improvement in the irrigation system will help to provide water to the farmers at the tail-ends.

As much as 130 billion rupees have been allocated for the procurement of wheat and every grain of wheat will be purchased by the government.

The CM also announced that wheat procurement target will be increased, if needed, to facilitate the farmers.

He said that the local government act has been tabled before the provincial assembly and more than 22 thousand panchayats will be formulated throughout the province.

He said that the Insaf Sehat Cards Scheme is being gradually introduced throughout the province and Sahiwal will be included in the third phase of this scheme. He said that price-control committees have been activated to curb the price-hike adding that Ramzan Package is being given to facilitate the people during the holy month of Ramzan.

Talking to the media, the chief minister said that gossip about the change of chief minister is a rumour only.

“You are well aware that provincial parliamentary party of the PTI has reposed trust on me yesterday,” he said.

To a question, he replied that the ministers failing to show performance will be relieved of their duties.

“The prime minister’s Iran visit will yield positive results,” the chief minister concluded.
