NAB nets Zardari’s ‘front man’ in fake acccounts case

NAUDERO: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) here on Sunday conducted raid at Naudero House and apprehended its in-charge and alleged close aide of  Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, Abdul Nadeem Bhutto, in the fake accounts case.

Sources said that Nadeem was working as the former president’s front man and was arrested in connection with the JIT report, adding that it was him who had withdrawn money from a ‘benami account.’

It was further added that Nadeem, who is in the custody of Sukur bureau at present, would be produced before the accountability court for remand on Monday.

According to the NAB, heavy amounts from Omni Group Of Companies and other unknown accounts were deposited in his account.

The sources further said that Nadeem Bhutto’s brother was the Bhutto family’s personal photographer who had shifted to Islamabad in 1998.

Earlier, an accountability court in Islamabad had adjourned the hearing of the fake bank accounts case against Zardari, his sister Faryal Talpur and others until April 29.

Special security arrangements had been made within and around the Judicial Complex housing the NAB court to avoid any untoward incident.
