PDA DG says BRT’s total cost is Rs66bn

PESHAWAR: The total expenditures of the BRT project are Rs66 billion and denied the reports being circulated in the press about an increase in its cost and held it against the facts.

Director General PDA Engr. Muhammad Uzair said this while briefing a seventeen-member delegation of under trainee officers of Mid Cadre Management Service presently under training at National Institute of Management (NIMs) Lahore Friday visited the office of Peshawar Development Authority (PDA).

He informed that BRT is a historic project that would address the traffic problems of the people of the city.

We are trying our best to complete the project at the earliest and round the clock construction work underway.

As many fifty buses from China for BRT has arrived, the DG told.

The delegation was consisted of under trainee officers belonging to Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service group Shahid Rehman, Maisam Abbas Khwaja, Zubair Khan, Tariq Javed, Muhammad Nadeem, Rukhsana Fawad and Irfan Mehmud.
