47-strong cabinet has 16 non-elected members

ISLAMABAD: In the 47 members of the PM cabinet 16 non-elected representatives have been added.

Inclusion of 16 non-elected representatives in Federal cabinet has increased ratio of non-elected members to over 34 percent in the cabinet 4 elected members have been replaced by 4 non- elected representatives.

Technocrat Abdul Hafeez has replaced Member of National Assembly Asad Umar. Firdous Ashiq Awan has been appointed in place of Fawad Chaudhry.

Minister of Health Amir Kayani and Minister of Petroleum were replaced by two Technocrats.

Portfolio of health has gone to Zafar Ullah and portfolio of petroleum has gone to Nadeem Babar. Three non-elected representatives Firdous Ashiq Awan, Nadeem Babar and Zafar Ullah were included in new advisors while after addition of Abdul Hafeez Sheikh the number of PM advisers has reached 5 while Malik Ameen Aslam, Abdul Razaaq Dawood, Shehzad Arbab and Dr Ishrat are other non-elected advisers.
