Asad Umar forgets his phone charger at Finance Ministry

(Disclaimer: this is a work of fiction. Learn to take a joke; you’ll live longer.)

An already stressful day became even more testing for former Finance Minister Asad Umar after he forgot to pack his phone charger while vacating his office at the Finance Ministry.

“It seems the guy simply can’t catch a break today”, said a staff member at the Finance Ministry holding the charger as he casually rolled the wire over the socket and nonchalantly slipping it into his shirt pocket.

Sources at his Islamabad residence confirmed that the missing charger and the eventual realization of having forgotten it back at his former office proved to be too much in addition to the day’s events causing Umar to ask everyone to vacate his comparatively less flashy home study/office.

“I offered him my own charger as soon as I found out what was going on but he said – eyes all welled up – it’s the new S10 plus, your USB pin won’t fit ….. NO ONE’S WILL !!” described the driver who brought him to his residence.

At press time, a ream of A4 size paper and a new phone charger could be seen being carried into Asad Umar’s house.
