ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday said his party will never support the presidential form of government.

Talking to reporters after appearing before an accountability court in the fake bank accounts case, Zardari, who is also a former president of Pakistan, cited the government’s experimental ways as the reason behind the worsening conditions of the country.

“A new experiment is being carried out in Pakistan. See what happens in such businesses. Let them try, we will oppose them,” he said.

On Monday, PPP Senator Sherry Rehman demanded the government take parliament into confidence regarding the negotiations taking place with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for an intended bailout package.
