NAB recovers Rs1bn in Punjab companies case

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has recovered Rs1 billion in the Punjab 56 companies’ mega scandal.

According to a NAB spokesman, the watchdog’s chairman has submitted the documents of the confiscated money to the Punjab government. He added that all the money recovered from the companies scandal has been submitted to the provincial exchequer.

Former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar had forwarded the case pertaining to Punjab companies scam to NAB.

During the hearing at Supreme Court (SC) Lahore registry, the former top judge said that he will force the corrupt leaders to return money of the nation.
