KASHMIR: Indian troops have launched cordon and search operations in Kulgam, Pulwama and Shopian districts of Kashmir in the wake of ongoing general elections.
The troops launched a violent operation in Bugam area of the Kulgam and sealed all exit and entry points of the area while the search operations continued for the sixth consecutive day in several parts of Kishtwar district.
Meanwhile, India’s National Investigation Agency during house raid arrested one, Irshad Ahmad Reshi, at Ratnipora in Pulwama district.
Indian forces ruthlessly beat up several people and ransacked shops during a cordon and search operation in Islamabad town on Monday.
The troops went berserk and beat passers-by and ransacked shops in Shirpora area of Islamabad town. A local, Amir Ganai, received multiple injuries.
